What is this role on a high level?

The Human Resources (“HR”) / People and Culture Business Partner will collaborate with the leadership of Atelier Ten US to oversee HR operations, provide guidance to management, analyze HR metrics, resolve employee relations issues, and suggest HR strategies aligned with business goals.  The individual is also tasked to provide excellent employee service on a day-to-day basis.  The HR / People and Culture Business Partner will also work alongside the SJ People and Culture team to execute global initiatives and be a change agent.

What your day-to-day looks like

Your days at Atelier Ten will be filled with a diverse set of responsibilities that span the entire employee life cycle ranging from recruiting to post employment.  Here is an excerpt on the different tasks you may encounter:

   Recruiting

  • Coordinate recruitment with local office managers/hiring managers by reviewing applications, arranging interviews, and drafting offer letters.

   Onboarding

  • Conduct onboarding and the creation of resources to help new staff.

   Benefits

  • Administer the firm’s benefit plans and coordinate processing of enrollments, terminations, changes, etc.
  • Provide first level direct support to employees on benefits related questions and inquiries.
  • Liaise with and oversee relationship with 3rd party benefits broker

   Compensation

  • Provide guidance and data to managers on compensation related matters.

   Payroll

  • Process the firm’s payroll and maintain accurate records of payroll transactions.
  • Assist in audits by providing records and documentation to auditors and accounting.

   Immigration

  • Work with the outside immigration counsel to file visas and permanent labor certifications (“PERM”) petitions for staff.

   HRIS

  • Access various systems to enter/maintain data integrity and process transactions such as new hires, transfers, and terminations.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to employees using various systems such as Workday.
  • Compile/extract data for managers to use in business decisions.

   Talent Management

  • Provide day to day HR expertise and support to employees and managers.
  • Advise on and help resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Conduct/manage investigations and documentation.
  • Work with the wider SJ People & Culture team to execute on global initiatives.


What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is curious, proactive, self-motivated, patient, and has a willingness to learn. And if we’re not pushing our luck, you ideally will possess:

  • 3-6 years of HR experience that touched on various HR disciplines required.
  • 3-6 years of experience working with global teams in different time zones.
  • Bachelor’s in HR, Labor Relations, or related degree required.
  • Strong ethics, personal integrity, collaboration, and change management skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate keen organizational and time management knowledge/skills.
  • Capacity to juggle multiple shifting priorities and remain calm under pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software with a heavy emphasis on Excel.
  • Experience working with various HR software and enterprise systems with a preference for Workday.
  • 2+ years of professional experience within an architectural, engineering, professional services, or consulting field STRONGLY

Atelier Ten US seeks to compensate staff based on a variety of factors related to the role and the candidate. These factors include (but not limited to) the responsibilities, requirements, and location of the position, as well as the candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. We also consider internal equity, market data, and growth potential. The good faith estimate of the base compensation offered for this role is between $75,000 and $90,000 depending on the level of experience the candidate brings to this role. This range does not include the value of Atelier Ten’s many benefit offerings.
