Celebrating U.S. Staff Promotions
We are delighted to announce the following promotions from the past year for our U.S. staff.
Josh Spitzig, Director, New York
Josh leads the New York lighting studio, designing environments that are both beautiful and sustainable. He recently completed the newly revitalized RiverFront in downtown Omaha that includes three thoughtfully illuminated parks: Gene Leahy Mall, Heartland of America Park and Lewis & Clark Landing.
Mike Martinez, Director, San Francisco
Mike leads the firm’s Daylight Practice and informs the human experience within his projects in terms of occupant health and comfort. His projects go beyond LEED Platinum including the Campus at Horton that is targeting LEED and WELL Platinum, Zero Waste, and Carbon Neutral.
Amy Leedham, Associate Director
Amy is the Carbon Practice leader in the U.S. and finds innovative yet practical solutions to reduce embodied carbon in her projects. She is a contributing author to Mythbusting Mass Timber and To Build, or Not to Build with Wood.
Bret Mantyk, Associate Director
Bret has been with Atelier Ten for 17 years and has contributed to over 250 of the firm’s high-performance projects. With his comprehensive understanding of the nuances and details of LEED, he has successfully guided some of Atelier Ten’s most complex projects through LEED.
Craig Graber, Associate Director
Over the course of his 30 years of experience in the industry, Craig has earned his architectural license, passive house certification and LEED accreditation. He has been an instrumental mentor to the New York staff and has contributed to over 150 projects while at Atelier Ten.
Chelsea Kreielsheimer, Associate
An advocate for sustainable lighting design, Chelsea joins the Associate group on a mission to push the lighting industry toward a more sustainable future. She recently authored Illuminating Embodied Carbon and was recognized as one of Light Collective’s 40 Under 40.
Maggie Smith, Associate
Maggie joins the Associate group and is a Group Leader for the San Francisco office. She is currently managing the mass timber San Mateo County Civic Center and is a contributing author of Mythbusting Mass Timber and To Build, or Not to Build with Wood.
Nikita Jathan, Associate
Nikita leads Atelier Ten’s Masterplanning practice and leads the firm’s working groups in Resilience and Ecosystem Services. She advocates for low carbon solutions by speaking at conferences across the country including AIA National and Getting to Zero Forum.
Radhna Saxena, Associate
Joining the Associates group, Radhna advocates for holistic well-being within her projects. She has earned multiple professional accreditations over her career including LEED AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, and Fitwel Ambassador.
Emma Frank, Senior Marketing Specialist
Emma is a senior member of Atelier Ten’s marketing team in charge of proposals for the San Francisco office. With her new Senior Marketing position, she will be managing communications for the U.S. team including award submissions, thought pieces and staff news.
Danielle Ton, Senior Accountant
Danielle has been with Atelier Ten for over 5 years and works with everyone from the project teams to our marketing team. She has implemented and improved the firm’s project accounting practices and has been instrumental in contract administration.
Archit Kulkarni, Senior Designer
Archit is a project manager in Atelier Ten’s New York office and advocates for climate-resilient architecture and low-embodied carbon design for his projects. He is leading some of the office’s complex higher education projects for Duke University, University of Virginia, and Georgetown University.
Isabelle Hens, Senior Designer
Isabelle a Senior Environmental Designer in the San Francisco office and a member of the Carbon Practice. She leads the Envelopes Working Group, which studies building envelopes at the intersection of embodied carbon, operational carbon, and occupant experience.
Joseph Guida, Senior Designer
Joey is a member of Atelier Ten’s Energy Analysis practice and a Senior Designer in the New York office. He works with design teams to improve energy efficiency and operational carbon reduction, providing recommendations at both the building level as well as central utility plant and masterplanning scale.
Namita Kara, Senior Designer
Namita is a project manager in Atelier Ten’s San Francisco office and is involved in the Environmental Design, Daylight and Benchmarking practices. She is leading a variety project types including the Austin Convention Center and the recently completed UCSC Kresge College.
Magdalena Rutherford, Marketing Coordinator
Magdalena started in the San Francisco office and moved to our New York team bringing her California cheer with her. She works closely with our clients to develop customized qualifications and proposals that highlight our value and sustainability.
Betsy Hulihan, Designer
Betsy is an Environmental Designer in the New York office and has been an active member of the firm’s Benchmarking practice. She has contributed greatly to some of the firm’s ambitious commercial projects including the new Goldman Sachs Dallas campus and the recently completed Mill 19 development.
Miranda Waldron, Designer
Miranda is a Lighting Designer in the New York office. She is an active member of the IALD as a junior associate and member of the Outdoor Nighttime Environments (ONE) Committee. She is also a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) and Women in Lighting + Design (WILD).
Nathan Pharr, Designer
Nathan is an Environmental Designer in the New York office and a LEED AP. He worked on projects of all scales from the new Goldman Sachs Dallas campus to the new Site Operations Center at the New York Botanical Garden, one of the first “net-positive energy” facilities in the Bronx.
Ria Sheth, Designer
Ria is an Environmental Designer in the New York Office and holds a WELL AP And LEED AP as a member of the Benchmarking practice. She is also involved in the Materials Technical Working Group and the Healthy Buildings Working Group.
Seif Eses, Designer
Seif is an Environmental Designer in the New York office and an active member of the firm’s Environmental Design and Daylight practices. He specializes in computational simulation exploring ways to improve daylight quality, glare, thermal comfort, and overall building energy use.
