Michael Tillou promoted to Associate Director
Michael Tillou, PE, LEED AP BD+C, ASHRAE BEMP has been appointed Associate Director of the New York office.
Mike has over 20 years of experience in energy analysis, commissioning, and building management systems, working for both national engineering firms, suppliers and specialized consulting firms. He has been leading Atelier Ten’s efforts in energy optimization both in design and post-occupancy since he joined the firm four years ago. He has been instrumental to the growth and success of the firm’s energy analysis practice.
Mike has worked on a variety of commercial, institutional, university, museum, healthcare, and laboratory projects. Most notably, his projects include Marina Bay Sands, the LEED Gold targeted NVIDIA Headquarters, the LEED Gold targeted Consortium for Building Energy Innovation (CBEI) at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia, the LEED Platinum Tata Hall on the Harvard Business school campus, and he was also a key player in the development of the Urban Green Energy Efficient Study.
Mike is a LEED-Accredited Professional, an ASHRAE Certified Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP), a member of ASHRAE Standard 90.1, and an AEE Certified Building Commissioning Professional. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Massachusetts.
