Lutron Global Specification Office
Atelier Ten assisted Lutron, the world’s leading lighting controls designer and manufacturer, to earn all lighting-related LEED credits for its global office and showroom that helps demonstrate Lutron’s commitment to reducing energy consumption.
Located in the 57-story high-rise LEED EB:OM building at 1 Penn Plaza, the 2,474 sq ft Lutron Global Specification Office is designed to achieve two goals: accommodate general office functions and serve as a showroom to demonstrate the breadth of Lutron energy saving lighting solutions. Atelier Ten provided LEED Program Administration to earn the showroom a LEED-CI Gold certification rating, which includes achieving all lighting-related LEED credits.
The open office area exhibits a functional quantum system, demonstrating its ability to reduce lighting energy consumption by 60% or more and curtails HVAC energy consumption by 10-30%. The project team employed a holistic strategy to achieve a high-performing, sustainable space, which incorporates elements such as sustainable sites, water conservation, energy, conservation, materials, and indoor air quality.
