NFSA Sustainability Strategy

The National Film and Sound Archive appointed Atelier Ten
to develop a sustainability framework to guide their operations through to 2030.

Atelier Ten guided sustainability workshops with staff to develop an integrated sustainability vision across the breadth of the NFSA’s complex operations.
Informed by a detailed carbon footprint for Scope 1, 2, and 3 of the NFSA’s operations, and detailed staff consultation, the sustainability and climate action strategy is guided by custodianship, a holistic commitment to care for the NFSA’s collections, stories, buildings and the natural environment.
Working closely with First Nations designers, Yerrabingin, the sustainability strategy looks through the lens of Country
and centres custodianship as the guiding principle underlying the NFSA’s strategy to creating a better future.
