A world-class modern learning space featuring feature atrium spaces, as well as breakout spaces for flexible teaching, will be built across two storeys within the existing High School boundary.
Atelier Ten are developing the new facility which will replace the existing campus of buildings. This work includes a detailed utility and demolition strategy to allow for phased decant and partial operation.
The project is to be delivered to achieve the LEIP Funding targets. During the design stage, Atelier Ten conducted an energy and interior environmental quality analysis. This work has led to an exceptional form factor as well as a focus on the placement of glass to balance the provision of natural light with thermal heat loss to the external environment. From these design solutions, a responsive environmental performance is created that demonstrates a beauty in simplicity.
Centralised air handling plant and heat pump technology is being integrated into the architecture from an early stage, allowing for an informed and efficient M&E services strategy.
