The fit-out of three office buildings on a campus site for the Renault – Nissan Group.
The works included complex sequencing to allow the Client to remain in full occupation throughout the works.
Atelier Ten undertook the full duties of the MEP services for the fit-out of three adjoining buildings in the Maple Cross complex.
The phasing of the works was critical to the successful delivery of the project. As the existing occupants were moved around the site, the extensive voice and data infrastructure moved to keep them operational.
A new data centre was constructed in Building 3, with a remote energy centre to provide high reliability power and cooling. Once commissioned, this allowed the existing data centre to be de-commissioned and refurbished as a meeting/training suite.
Other complications included substantial works being undertaken simultaneously by the Landlord, including the construction of a central restaurant and the refurbishment of the car park.
The buildings each have their own discreet identity to reflect the image and ethos of each set of occupiers. Occupational densities are one person per 8m² throughout, with fresh air systems in particular enhanced to accommodate the usage.
Other facilities include an extensive vehicle charging installation (including high speed/high output units), mobile phone booster aerials and an extensive security installation.
