An extension of Southbank Boulevard draws the green space, and by extension the nearby Royal Botanic Gardens, into the tower’s public spaces at various levels and up terraces on its twisted facade.
Atelier Ten led the sustainable design strategy for the competition winning scheme against a field of leading international design teams. The project aims to be a precedent for Health and Wellness city centre living which is unique among its peers. This included the incorporation of the internationally recognised wellness rating system WELL, and significant daylight modelling to ensure access to natural light between the two towers.
We led an investigation into the use of all-electric systems in order to be future ready and in line with State Government policy for decarbonisation. As well as leading edge water treatment systems for the capture of grey water for irrigation of the distinctive vegetated facade.
