The new office campus proposes an iconic global headquarters to provide a welcoming and dynamic new home for employees, bringing together all staff and departments under the same roof for the first time to embrace and celebrate the company’s storied identity, technological innovation and collaborative aspirations.
Comprising three main wings to the north, east and south enveloping a central hub and atrium that opens up to the park to the west, additional programme functions such as a sports block (including full sized swimming pool), educational block, food and beverage catering facilities and a range of amenities complete the campus.
The mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) building services have been designed to provide inherent flexibility to the office spaces. The central plant and distribution systems have been designed to deliver high levels of flexibility to allow for densely occupied spaces for future fit-out of the office floors.
The main office floors have an underfloor air delivery system and distribution of services. This provides efficiency in energy, distribution and wellness for occupants, while maintaining the architectural vision of exposed soffits. Building services to high level are served from the floor void above, by air-tight and fire rated penetrations through the slab.
Complex roof spaces house air handling plant and cooling towers, while busy basement levels contain main items of plant such as high voltage electrical transformers and low voltage switchgear, back up generators, district heating and water intakes, water-cooled chillers and air handling plant.
