Alan joined Atelier Ten as Scotland Director in January 2025. As Scotland Director, Alan is responsible for Atelier Ten’s Glasgow and Edinburgh offices.

Alan has extensive experience in the building services and real estate industries, working closely with both landlord and occupier clients. He can highlight risks, bring clarity to complex technical issues, and identify and quantify potential liabilities. This ultimately provides our clients with a much stronger and better-informed position while protecting their assets. Alan delivers consultancy advice in areas such as sustainable M&E design, technical due diligence, dilapidations advice, planned preventative maintenance, and license to alter.

Alan is a professionally registered Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers and the Institute of Engineering and Technology. With over 33 years of experience in the Mechanical and Electrical industry, Alan has gained a wealth of expertise across a wide range of sectors and project types.

Alan is a highly focused engineer with extensive experience engaging directly with clients. He excels at establishing project-specific requirements to deliver the most suitable solutions for each individual project. He ensures that our clients’ expectations and aspirations are met or exceeded whenever possible.
