Mike is a Director of Atelier Ten’s San Francisco office and leads the firm’s Daylight Practice. As an integrated design specialist, Mike has unique expertise in daylighting & façade optimization for energy performance, human experience, occupant health and thermal comfort. He provides guidance and consulting to architects, engineers, contractors, owners, and product manufactures to create beautiful, healthy and sustainable environments.
With nearly 20 years in the industry, Mike has impacted the design of a wide range of buildings including commercial offices, academic buildings, museums, and k-12 schools. His projects have gone beyond LEED Platinum and have achieved high ambitions like Net Zero Energy certification. His project work includes the ambitious Westbank San Jose Development, the SFO Terminal 3 West Modernization, the Campus at Horton, and One Beverly Hills.
Mike has a Master of Architecture from the University of California Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University.
