Shruti is a Director of Atelier Ten’s San Francisco office. With 18 years of experience, her background as an architect a building science specialist has been fundamental to her approach in problem solving and enabling innovation in the built environment. She combines technical competency and creativity across multiple disciplines – architecture, engineering, and master planning – to develop integrated, cross disciplinary strategies for projects. She is an expert on passive buildings, façade optimization, and decarbonization of the built environment.
Shruti has led many of Atelier Ten’s most ambitious projects such as San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s Expansion, Uber Headquarters, and Adobe Founders Tower. She has a proven track record of developing innovative strategies for multiple project types at various scales and has guided over 150 projects in the United States on their journey to become decarbonized, safe and healthy.
Shruti is regularly invited to speak at events and conferences, including Greenbuild International Conference, International Institute of Sustainable Laboratories, Facades Plus Conference, American Institute of Architects Local Chapters, UC Berkeley, Cal Poly University, and Stanford University. She has served on various juries, panels and committees such as American Institute of Architects, California Design Awards Jury in 2020, Project StaSIO Competition Jury in 2019, ASHRAE Professional Examination Subcommittee from 2009-17.
Shruti was presented with the IBPSA-USA Outstanding Practitioner Award in 2018. She is a LEED Accredited Professional and ASHRAE Building Energy Modeling Professional.
